Rev. Paul Vanden Brink
LEAD PASTOR
Paul was educated at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia and pastored in established churches for 13 years before planting Grace Valley Church in 2016. He is married to Jessica and they have four adult children.
Rev. Mark Hordyk
ASSOCIATE PASTOR
Mark completed his MDiv at Heritage Theological Seminary after having studied counselling through the School of Biblical Counselling (CCEF). He began as an intern at Grace Valley in 2018 and was ordained and installed as Associate pastor in 2024. He is married to Shivonne and they have two children.
Kate Tigchelaar
OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Kate has been the office administrator for Grace Valley for over 4 years. She enjoys overseeing a wide variety of responsibilities within the church. Kate earned her Advertising and Marketing degree from Sheridan College and enjoys being able to communicate and promote the many happenings at Grace Valley. She is married to Mike and they have two daughters, two cats, one dog and a whole bunch of koi fish.
Mieke Aasman
After attending Mohawk college in the Child & Youth Worker program, Mieke spent many years working downtown Hamilton as a youth worker and director, growing a deep love for community centered ministry. Mieke lives in Dundas with her husband and two boys. Life is often spent at the rink, either cheering her boys on, or playing the game herself, balanced by quiet moments with a good book when she can find one.

Jessica Vanden Brink
DIRECTOR OF WOMEN’S MINISTRY
Jessica graduated from Redeemer University and worked for several years as a teacher. She is married to Paul and together they have four children. Over the years she has volunteered in the church, leading Bible Studies, coordinating VBS, and heading up Sunday programs for children. Basically, this is her dream job. When she’s looking to unwind she loves spending time with family, puttering around the house or a good game of pickle ball.
Alexandre Christiansen
DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
With a science degree from Redeemer University, Alex is completing his MDiv at McMaster Divinity College. He has attended Grace Valley since 2023 and has served as the GraceKids Administrator. As a professionally trained dancer and dance teacher, Alex has spent years working with children. Now, he loves helping children grow in their faith at church. In his free time, he enjoys bridging theology and film as a way to spark meaningful conversation with friends and family.
